Brisa de Angulo is an internationally recognized advocate, speaker, and leader in the fight against child sexual abuse. As the founder and CEO of A Breeze of Hope Foundation, she has dedicated her life to supporting survivors, challenging systemic injustices, and transforming how communities respond to abuse. A survivor herself, Brisa’s work has driven groundbreaking changes in policy, education, and survivor care, making a lasting impact on child protection worldwide.

Her tireless advocacy has earned her global recognition, including prestigious honors such as the World of Children Award, the Human Rights Defender Award, and recognition from the United Nations for her efforts in combating child sexual violence. Brisa has worked alongside governments, non-profits, and international organizations to enhance forensic interviewing, legal support, and trauma-informed care for children who have experienced abuse.

At Cheers for Children, we will hear from Brisa and CornerHouse Training Director Jane Straub as they discuss their partnership and the critical work being done to advance the global fight against child abuse.

Kevin has been a Broadcast Journalist for 35 years and has been involved in tens of thousands of TV newscasts as an Anchor, Reporter, Producer and Photographer. Kevin has won a number of high profile awards including the Anna Quindlen Award from the Child Welfare League of America for excellence in journalism on behalf of children and families. A native of Brainerd, Minnesota, Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife Teresa and their two beautiful daughters; Emma and Eva.
